The Lowepro Transit Sling 250 AW is one of the Lowepro Transit family. The Transit Sling 250 was almost everywhere I went the last couple weeks with my DSLR and also CSC.

The first week I took my Canon 60D with Canon 70-200mm 2.8 L and the Canon 24-70mm 4.0 L. I still had space to put another small lens like the Canon 50mm 1.4 into the sling backpack. How you organize the camera and lenses is up to you. You can use the Velcro dividers in the main pocket and attach them to the inner linings of the flap. Here you can open the top halfway only if desired. This option gives you a bit more security to store you valueable camera gear in the lower half of the Transit Sling 250. The little rain cape is stored on the button of the sling backpack and in case of a rainy day it will also give you kind of a secure feeling!

On the back side there is a small pocket for an 8 inch tablet or other flat equipment like papers, smartphone or other stuff. And don’t forget about the tripod which you also can attach on the outside.

Also the quick access pocket on the side is useful if you want to sling the backpack around your shoulder and get your camera out on a quick way. But you can’t have the extra battery grip put-on.Lowepro Transit Sling 250 AW_stuffed_DSLR© Picture by Lowepro

With my described gear I was able to get all shots I needed to. Changing lenses wasn’t a big deal after getting behind the „sling-system“.  Except for my left shoulder, it was painful after a while. IT started hurting after carrying around the heavy gear for a couple hours. I guess it was my weak shoulder which made problems, not because of the sling backpack.

Also putting in the sling backpack a combination out of the Canon 60D with the Canon 70-200mm 2.8 L and the Sony A7 II with SEL55F18Z wasn’t an issue at all. I still had space to put in small equipment like batteries and other accessories.

As my conclusion I can recommend the Lowepro Transit Sling 250 AW to all those who don’t want to carry around their big camera backpack with all their equipment in there. Just to put in a few lenses and the stuff for a day trip you need to – for those people the sling backpack will be a perfect partner!
